Stronger Communities
The Gloucestershire VCS Assembly facilitates partnership working between voluntary and community organisations working in the areas of community cohesion, safety and justice; providing an arena for discussion and mechanism for influencing county mulit-sector partnerships.
At present, this project is focusing on the following key areas:
Information, discussion and networking
The project sends out regular electronic bulletins to hundreds of VCS groups in the county and holds many meetings and events to faciliate information and discussion on relevant issues within the sector and with public sector partners.
Democratic forum
The project brings interested VCOs together for VCS Safer and Stronger Strategy Group and related meetings, which provide a democratic forum for collating VCS views, communicating them to VCS representatives who sit on the county's partnerships and discussing their feedback.
Support of VCS representatives
VCS representatives agreed by the VCS are supported by the project to participate in multi-sector partnerships and feed back to the VCS. To view a list of current VCS representatives click on the document below
