This conference will explore current issues for voluntary and community organisations led by and/or working with Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities.  It will focus on solutions to increase their involvement and influence over public sector work.

VCOs who work with BME communities are particularly encouraged to attend.

Local Community Care Meeting: Barton & Tredworth
Tuesday 23 March, 10am to 1pm.
Anglo Asian Cultural Centre, 91 Barton Street, Gloucester

The focus of the informal discussion will be around what community care services are delivered in the local area now, how this takes place now and how they are delivered in the future, and what areas of good community engagement are there that make this happen well/what is there still to do.  The intended audience for the event are people and community groups in the geographical location of Barton and Tredworth.

2010 EU Funding Opportunites under Fundamental Rights and Justice
The South West UK Brussels Office has released a briefing note which gives an overview of the funding opportunities available in 2010 under the DAPHNE III, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship (FRC) and Drug Prevention and Information (DIP) programmes. All these three programmes will launch their annual calls for proposals for action grants within the next few weeks.
