New County Council management arrangements for children's operational services
From 1st June 2012, each of the County Council’s current service managers for children and young people’s operational services will take responsibility for the management of all the council’s children’s operational services in one of the six localities (Districts).
These changes to the management structures have been made so that there is a manager with overall responsibility for the County Council’s service provision in each locality.
They will have responsibility for quality, performance, customer focus and for continuing to develop partnership working and community engagement in their area.
In addition to managing a locality, service managers will remain the strategic lead for their specialist service areas.
You can download the new structure, which includes the name of each Locality manager above.

News following Ofsted Inspection of Safeguarding – Gloucestershire County Council
Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) now has the final report from February’s inspection of their Children’s Safeguarding Services.
Ofsted has recognised the significant progress and extra investment that has been made and is clear that the building blocks are in place to sustain this improvement.
While the inspectors have, as expected, also identified some areas where further improvement is needed, they are clear that GCC have the right resources, plans and leadership in place to sustain the progress already made.
The full report is now available to download above.
