The Board meets at least four times a year to discuss issues of relevance to the sector, and to co-ordinate voluntary and community sector representation on countywide strategic partnerships.

The next meeting of the Gloucestershire VCS Assembly Board will be held on Tuesday 21st September 2010, 2 - 4pm at GAVCA.

There was a special meeting of the Assembly Board to meet Mark Hawthorne, the new Leader of the Council, on 10th August 2010, 2 - 3.30pm at GAVCA. Minutes will be available shortly.

Local Area Agreement Performance Reward Grant Commissioning Management Group

This group sits under the VCS Assembly Board and the purpose of the Commissioning Management Group (CMG) is to work within its delegated authority and manage the commissioning of the voluntary and community sector's share of the Gloucestershire LAA Performance Reward Grant (PRG) in 2011.

The key objectives of the CMG are:

  • To propose, develop and oversee process which enables allocation of PRG funding to the VCS according to defined timescales and commissioning standards.

  • To develop and support the identification of needs and setting of priorities against which the PRG funding streams can be allocated to the VCS, including use of stakeholder consultation.

  • To identify an appropriate Administrative Agency and oversee the administration of the VCS PRG allocation by it according to agreed priorities and criteria.

  • To review and evaluate the effectiveness of the above process and its funding allocation.
