The VCS Assembly Board

The Board meets at least four times a year to discuss issues of relevance to the sector, and to co-ordinate voluntary and community sector representation on countywide strategic partnerships.

Feedback from special VCS Assembly Board meeting 26 Jan

The VCS Assembly 3 month consultation on the process for allocating the Local Area Agreement (LAA) Performance Reward Grant (PRG) to the VCS closed on the 25th of January 2010.

The VCS Assembly Board met on 26th January 2010 to consider the results and agree the process.  The key messages from this meeting were:

  • The VCS Assembly Board listened to feedback from the VCS on the process and based its decisions on this feedback
  • Every voluntary and community organisation in the county has a volunteering element and all have contributed to the achievement of the LAA volunteering target
  • The PRG will be used to invest in long term VCS services that will produce improvements and benefits for the VCS.
